Item # 7 Technology Stuff is what I live for.
I work in the computer lab at my school and I just received a new lab. The lab is made up of little workstations which are called "Bricks". All the information is set up on the server and made available to the students. All they have to do is log in with their user name and password. It opens their individual folders so they are able to save in one spot and the teacher can retrieve the students work with out having to search through the different computers. The teachers can create homework and save it into the teacher folder and the student can (once logged in) open it and start working on it. The lab is equiped with a smart board and an over head projector. It's so cool.

My daughter's school must have something like that, too, because the kids are not allowed to bring or save work onto floppies or flash drives. Golly gee! Pretty soon those funny sticks that make marks on paper will be collector's items!
